Interesting Fun Fact

The Marionberry is named after Marion County in Oregon, where it was developed by George F. Waldo a U.S. Department of Agricultural researcher at Oregon State University in Corvallis Oregon in the nineteen forties. It is a cross of the Chehalem and Olallie blackberries, which both cross themselves. The chart to the right breaks down the Marionberry genealogy.
