About Wooden Spoon
Welcome and thank-you for visiting Wooden Spoon. We are Les and Stacy Harris and would like to share the Wooden Spoon story. Growing up on a farm in the Willamette Valley, Stacy helped her father bring homegrown berries to the local fruit and vegetable stand. With a surplus of berries, the local fruit stand owner and Stacy’s father came up with the idea of turning the fruit into jams and jellies.
As a young child, Stacy helped plant and maintain her families berry fields. As she grew Stacy harvested the berries alongside with her school-mates. She then began learning family recipes and working in the kitchen. Stacy continues these labors of love until she graduated High school and married her high school sweetheart Les. Stacy and Les moved out of the area for a few years as Les joined the Navy (Sea Bee’s) and they started their family. Stacy continued to make jam and jelly for Les and his fellow seaman. After the military, Stacy and Les settled in Southern Oregon.
Follow family tradition, Stacy and Les purchased a small farm. Stacy, like her father, began turning fruits into jams and jellies. With much dedication, love and hard work, Stacy and Les created Wooden Spoon LLC, a place where they can share their fruits and family recipes with others.
